Montofoc Acqua Intumescent
Description
Water-based intumescent paint, which, due to intense heat, generates a protective foam that thermally insulates the support, preventing the spread of fire and delaying the deterioration of the support. Tested and Certified by independent laboratories according to European Standard EN 13381-8:2010.

How to apply?

How to use
-Stir the product until it is perfectly homogenized.
-Do not apply with relative humidity greater than 80%.
-Two to three coats are recommended to obtain a layer thickness greater than 500-600 dry microns.
-Follow the application methods of a water-based paint, except with regard to layer thicknesses, since the greater the thickness, the greater the effectiveness.
-In outdoor applications, protect the product with Monto products with fire reaction certification.
-Do not apply with relative humidity greater than 80%.
-Two to three coats are recommended to obtain a layer thickness greater than 500-600 dry microns.

-In outdoor applications, protect the product with Monto products with fire reaction certification.
Support preparation
New Support:
-Treat as the paints or varnishes recommended in the supports/processes table are usually treated. -Each product must be treated according to the chosen primer and appropriate intermediate coat.
– In the case of Primers and intermediate coats recommended by PINTURAS MONTO, SA, the standards and intervals established in each product must be followed, so action will be taken as indicated in the technical sheet of each product usable in the Preparation System.
-Cleaning: Water. Restoration and Maintenance:
-Completely remove old paints in poor condition or poorly adhered.
-Eliminate the presence of foreign products using the usual procedures.
-Since an adhesion defect is possible between the previous coats, it is recommended to remove the old coats by brushing, stripping, sandblasting or other means.
-In the case of primers and intermediate coats recommended by PINTURAS MONTO, SA, the standards and intervals established for each product must be followed, so the technical sheet of each product usable in the Preparation System will be reviewed.
– Putty the defects of the support with plaster (see in the PREPARATION OF BACKGROUNDS family the lines corresponding to powder plasters and prepared putties to make a correct choice).
